Diego and MacBeth

Do you remember Diego? We featured him and his family on this blog several months ago. Diego has been in foster care since last spring when he was an itty bitty baby kitty. He'll be a year old soon, and he sure has grown to be a handsome cat. All of his siblings have been adopted and he became quite lonely in his foster home. His mom cat, Jo Jo, is still there, but she didn't appreciate the wrestling and playtime that teenage kittens love so much. Diego was wandering around the house crying, in search of someone to play with.

So his foster mom made a few phone calls and found him a buddy from another foster home, Macbeth! Macbeth is a friendly and spunky little orange and white tabby. Cute little fellow.

The two are about six months apart in age, but they get along wonderfully. Macbeth loves to play and cuddle with his good buddy, Deigo. The two boys are ready for adoption and would love it if they could stay together forever!

Diego shows off his polydactyl paws with the feather toy!

The boys together!

Maunzer and Mr Krabs

Maunzer, adopted recently from our adoption center, is loving his new home and we received the following wonderful update:

Just wanted to email you a quick photo of Maunzer and his favorite toy, Mr Krabs. He wrestles and cuddles with him according to his moods...
We have re-named him Xenu, pronounced Zee-New. It is an unusual name for an unusual cat. Unusual in a good way of course, :) he is the happiest cat I have ever met. The only time we have seen him grumpy is the evening after he got his rabies shot. And even that only lasted until morning!

The Magic Bed

J., the woman who adopted Viva, stopped by on Sunday to visit Little Guy and Groucho and brought a cat bed. I'm calling it the magic bed since in an 8 hour period today I caught the most unlikely pairs of cats sleeping together in it. My torti, Meep, and foster kitty Carter were snuggled together and Meep even knew he was there. Snuggles and Carter, Little Guy and Groucho of course, Meep and Snuggles, Little Guy and Carter, Groucho and Allie, and Groucho and Carter. That bed was never empty all day.

Teddy at home.

Teddy and his two sisters, Liberty and America, were rescued from a wooded area in Eden Prairie in June 2007. Here is an update from his new home:

It's been a year since Teddy came into our lives. What a great cat. Here are the latest photos. John finally caught him with one of his toys in his mouth and the other favorite Teddy pose is him relaxing on our bed with all
four paws in the air.

Hope your New Year is a good one.

Mr. Mom Strikes Again

Mr. Mom, a.k.a Groucho, has a new pair of kittens to care for in his foster home.
It all started with Little Guy who ended up being good friends with Groucho.

Then Grace, Groucho would sleep next to her kennel to keep here company.
After Grace, Groucho's foster caregivers started seeing a pattern.  Groucho was being a companion to cats who had special needs or was taking care of young kittens and making all new fosters feel welcome in the home.
Groucho, now dubbed Mr. Mom, socialized and kept orphaned kittens Emily, Stuart, and Haley squeaky clean.

Groucho played with and occasionally cleaned Phoenix and Brigit when they were not with their mom, Tara.

Groucho is excited again to have two new kittens, Allie and Carter, to bathe and cuddle.

Thanks Groucho for being such a sweet, caring kitty!
