Yin Yang fka Hope

After being found in south east Minnesota thin, sick (FIV+), and strayed, Hope is no longer hoping for a safe, loving home. Renamed Yin Yang, she has found her people and has settled into her home. The following is an update from her family.

My wife and I adopted Hope (now called Yin Yang) in mid-February and thought you might appreciate an update. She is doing very well!

She loves having a whole house to herself and two people to adore her. She enjoys sitting in the sun (or in front of a heating vent), attacking her scratching post, waking us up when it's time to be fed, watching us make dinner, and playing with an empty roll of tape or any other found object.

Thanks!
Paul and Wendy

Rikki at home

Rikki was a shy foster cat and the other cats in my house always wanted to pick on her. Now she has her own home and I received a report from her new mom:
Rikki is doing well. She went to the vet a while ago and wasn't too excited about it. Everything checked out ok, she just needs to lose some weight. I have attached some pictures of her!

Eat at Signature Cafe TODAY to benefit animals

Anyone thinking of getting out of the house Tuesday evening will have an opportunity to help animals while getting a fantastic meal.

Signature Cafe and Catering is a small, neighborhood restaurant which features an outstanding menu of cuisine with a wonderfully European influence. Owned and operated by Tony and Natalie, two strong animal supporters who have created cozy, warm and friendly environment where people can get gourmet food for remarkably low prices.

Tucked away in a small residential neighborhood on the boarder between Minneapolis and St. Paul, Signature Cafe is easy to find and parking is a breeze.

On Tuesday, April 7, Signature Cafe will be donating proceeds from meals to no kill groups in Minnesota, as well as to the ASPCA. Last year, Signature Cafe did something similar, and raised money for Animal Ark and Feline Rescue.

Please consider showing your support of no kill in Minnesota by attending this wonderful event. If you cannot make it on Tuesday, stop by another time and thank them for being such a wonderful resource for our community!

Kitten Season

Unfortunately each year around this time Feline Rescue and other animal rescue organizations are busy caring for pregnant stray cats. Fortunately Kanga was brought to Feline Rescue just days before delivering five sweet, healthy babies.

Kanga had been living outside underneath a trailer home for at least a year and had already raised two litters of kittens outside on her own.

This litter will now be her last, and Kanga and her kittens will find safe, permanent homes.

Please spay and neuter your pets to prevent unwanted litters.
