Day 1: Arrived with another kitten Mimi and a bunch of dogs on transport from Lake Traverse Reservation Rescue in South Dakota. Mimi and I had been rescued after we were abandoned in a garage. Headed to Twin Cities to find adoptive homes. I escaped my carrier in the SUV and had to be recaptured, so the trip was even more eventful for me.
Day 2: Went to the vet for check-up and neutering. Yikes! I’m
not happy! I’m not letting these scary people get anywhere near me!
Day 3: Arrived in foster home. Safely escaped into hiding
without a trace.
Day 4: I was spotted in my hiding spot in the mop bucket by
my foster human, who speaks kindly to me. I decided to hide under the bed
instead, and then called attention to myself by meowing all night.
Day 5: I decided to venture out to eat and play. Discovered
that the resident cat, Butters, is really nice and will bathe me. He says he
can show me the ropes.
Day 6: It’s Christmas. I let me foster human pet me and play
with me. I love to play.
Day 7: Decided foster human was safe to snuggle with. I’ve
become confident and curious.
Week 2: Got my ears cleaned out, met a service dog, bonded
with new people. I still like to be near or touching resident cat most of the
time. I will make a great companion for another cat. And I love snuggling with people now too.
