Caring for Kittens 101

Rule #1: Do not leave toilet paper roll within reach of kittens.

Yesterday morning upon entering the kitten room I realized that I had forgotten Rule #1 even though I've been fostering kittens for almost 5 years.

Ginger, fka Carrie, Relaxed and Happy

Ginger, fka Carrie, is obviously enjoying her family and looking gorgeously fluffy in her new home.

Hello,
I'm sending you pictures of the kitty I adopted from you back in March.  Her name was Carrie, and she came from Red Lake Rosie's.  I've renamed her Ginger, and one of the pictures includes her sister, Princess.  It only took a couple of days of separation before they accepted each other, and they're getting along very well.

You may recall that Ginger had bad fur - lots of mats, most of which had been removed when I got her - you said you had to send her to a groomer.  I still find one once in a while, and I'm trying to get her used to being brushed.  She didn't like it at all at first (I'm sure she remembered the difficulty of having them removed in the beginning), but she is getting better, and even seems to enjoy the gentle brushing for a short time.

She's a sweetheart, and I thank you for your ongoing kitty rescue efforts.
With appreciation,
Karen

Thank you Karen!

Little Lady Cat Willow

Willow looking quite regal on her blue sofa

Here is a recent photo of our little lady cat. Please share it with the
good people at Feline Rescue
.

Thank you,
Kathy and Spencer

One of our dedicated volunteers took the next two photos the day she was adopted. A walk on Spencer's back demonstrated why they should adopt her.

Spring Poppy in Bloom

Popcorn was a stray cat living near the Feline Rescue parking lot last fall. Volunteers live-trapped her and had her spayed. Now Poppy is looking to be transplanted to a good home this spring. She wants to go home with her best friend Minnow.

Minnow and Popcorn are both small, sweet, playful cats. They are shy and take a little while to warm up to new people but are definitely worth the wait!
