New pictures of Popeye and Olive Oyl

Popeye and Olive Oyl are enjoying their indoor lifestyle in their foster home while they look for a forever home together.

Popeye and Olive met on the streets, where they managed to get by thanks to the kindness of neighbors who kept them well fed. Olive raised plenty of kittens out there until Feline Rescue volunteers learned of her colony and helped get them all trapped and to the vet to be spayed and neutered last fall. Popeye evaded capture until the winter. Once inside, he was warm and happy and decided he wanted to stay. So we rounded up Olive, and this devoted pair headed for a foster home together.

Popeye and Olive's foster family was patient. At first, the cats hid under the bed mostly. But over the next few weeks, Popeye and then Olive started to feel more comfortable moving around the house and have become quite social. Popeye will come out to greet visitors. And when the toys come out, Olive is right there with him. She just loves to play. If there are no wand toys around, Popeye's tail is fun to chase too.
