Good things come in small packages

Little Venus came to Feline Rescue after some volunteers discovered her living in a garage. This beautiful, friendly cat definitely belongs in your house instead!

Venus is a little bit shy at first but very sweet. She loves to be held and petted. Although Venus is quite young and still looks like a kitten, she’s actually already been a mom. She is very petite.

Adopting a shyer cat takes a little bit of patience but is very rewarding-- especially with a cat as lovely as Venus! So if you stop by the Adoption Center, be sure to take some time to meet Venus.

Venus’ daughter, Kith, is also looking for a home, and these two would do well together. Kith is a beautiful, fluffy, petite calico kitty. She’s very shy but also sweet.

First kittens of spring!

This group of kittens should be ready to go to their new homes at the end of April, but if you'd like to meet them now to adopt in advance that would be fine ;-)

DUCHESS ROUNDI was surprised to get a pregnant mama cat in January, but when Duchess arrived there was no doubt about her condition. She is a lovely calm black cat with a very sleek shiny coat. She is rather tall and slender, but had a round, hard belly that looked ready to pop. She is polydactyl and the extra toe on each front foot gives her a cute mitten paw. Duchess has a small angular head with almond-shaped green eyes and LOVES attention.

DUCHESS SLEEKI watched and waited for two long weeks until, finally, on Sunday, January 24, the day of the big Vikings playoff game, she started to have her kittens. I thought I might miss the game, but she finished up before the kick-off. In honor of that auspicious beginning, the five kittens were named for Vikings players.

ADRIAN IS THE ONLY BLACK KITTENAdrian is a female and looks just like her mom: small with shiny black fur and extra toes. She is adventurous and full of spunk, but she'll slow down to cuddle. I think she might be her mom's favorite, so it would be nice if they found a home together. She got her name because she had trouble finding and hanging on to mom's nipple when she was newborn...

BRETT IS A TOMBOYBrett is the other female. Born as #4, she started out as one of the smaller kittens, but she is big now. She has fluffy thick gray fur with lots of narrow stripes.She is smart and a leader. She always wants to wrestle with the boys.

SIDNEY BEARS A BULLSEYESidney is a gray fluffy male, but instead of stripes, he has circular swirls in his fur -- a real bullseye on each side. He is also very adventurous, but loving. The gray kittens mix and match all the time for play pals.

JEROD IS A MELLOW FELLOWJerod as a newborn kitten grabbed onto a nipple and wouldn't let go. Probably explains why he has been the biggest and mellowest kitten ever since. No extra toes for him, just stripes on his round belly.

RYAN'S GOT MITTEN FEETRyan does have the extra toes on his front feet; I'm not sure that would help for kicking. He is fluffy gray with stripes and loves to play or cuddle depending on his mood.

Sonnet - Homework Supervisor?

Sonnet patiently waited to find her own family once all of her kittens were adopted.  After being adopted in January, Sonnet is now thoroughly enjoying relaxing in her home.

Sonnet has bonded close enough with 8 year old Joey that she is allowed to hang out on his desk.  I'd guess it's the momma cat in her and she's trying to help supervise.

She's black-and-white

Opal regularly greets visitors at the Feline Rescue Adoption Center, sometimes by jumping into their laps. Opal likes to check everybody out, just in case one might be the right person for her.

Beautiful Opal has been hanging out at the Feline Rescue Adoption Center, awaiting a forever home, for a couple of years now. Sometimes Opal will give you a warm welcome. Other times, you might find her greeting a little gruff.

While Opal may seem complex, she’s not. Opal is simply a sweet and loving cat! But sometimes she has trouble acting her charming self with so many other cats around. Some of these young cats just don’t understand the concept of personal space, and they bring out Opal’s grumpier side. She needs you to bring her home, so she can show you the cat she really is: Opal, your loyal lap-cat.

Four lovely ladies in need of homes!

Our story is a sad one, but a common one. Our human mama recently died and we had no place to go. We were very sad and very scared, especially since we heard the rumor that we might be going to Animal Control. Gasp!

Luckily for us, at the last minute Feline Rescue learned of our unfortunate situation and they took us in and now we're waiting for the next chapter of our lives to start. We may be mature ladies but age is just a number ;)

We are currently living at the vet and although they're very nice here it sure isn't anything like our former home!We are looking for a permanent foster home and/or adoptive home.

Although we lived together we aren't exactly what you'd call friends. In fact some of us actually prefer to part ways. Having four intelligent and mature ladies under one roof can be challenging. So what we're saying is that we do not need to stay together and we would be happy if we each had a home all to ourselves.

If you're interested in fostering us, Feline Rescue will foot the bill for medical and other expenses, so all you'd need to provide is a loving home!

Danielle

After waiting patiently for that very special person, Danielle is finally home. Her new family is allowing her to adjust to her new home in her own time and they will certainly be rewarded for their patience.

Hi there, I adopted Danielle about a month ago, and I've heard that you guys like updates so I thought I'd email you! Danielle is doing great! She is eating normally, roaming around the house a lot, and often times actually purring. I haven't been able to get close enough to pet her yet (she's rather shy) so I took her to my vet to have some of the mats in her fur removed...she was incredibly well behaved! They also clipped her claws. She is a tad heavy at 15 1/2 pounds, so she will be going on a diet food. ☺

But overall she is doing great, and adjusting to her new surroundings very quickly after being at the shelter for over 3 years. I love her very very much and look forward to being able to pet her soon and make her happy! ☺
