Fun-loving Brothers

Claude and Pumpkin recently moved from a foster home to the Feline Rescue adoption center to meet new people and find their forever home. These one-year-old brothers are an entertaining pair!

Pumpkin is fluffy and sweet! He loves petting and will curl up with you on the couch to watch TV.

If there’s nothing good on TV, Claude and Pumpkin will entertain you. Wind them up and watch them go! They will chase anything that moves but especially peacock feathers and other things that fly through the air, allowing them to practice their high-jumping skills. Just like a cat, Claude always lands on his feet. Pumpkin… usually does (wind resistance from his long, luxurious hair makes it hard to be as graceful and aerodynamic a his sleek brother Claude).

Claude is short-haired and all grey. He looks a bit like a stuffed animal with his plush fur and big saucer eyes that are always wide open. Claude doesn’t have time to blink: he might miss something. Claude’s foster mom reports that he likes to be in the middle of the action and always followed her around the house.

Although he’s brave and curious, Claude is still not quite comfortable with one thing: petting. It’s too bad, because Claude would like to be petted. He watches how the other cats here enjoy it, so he knows that it must feel good. He sees his brother Pumpkin start to purr when someone scratches him on the head or rubs him on the belly. Claude just needs the right person to come along and earn his trust. Once he feels how good petting can be, he won’t want you to stop.

If your humdrum home life lacks excitement, consider bringing Claude and Pumpkin home. Earning Claude’s trust will be a rewarding challenge. And the way these guys play, you’re practically guaranteed to never be bored again!

  1. Hey, Molly - great work on The Boys. Claude talked to me a bit yesterday after you had left the shelter. He claims he's tentative because he speaks and understands only French! He says all he hears is English and Cat, and he can't figure it out. Claims he's from early 20th century Paris and has artistic tendencies....Jen says we have a volunteer who teaches French, so she's going to find out if Claude is truthing or if he's just being a sass!

  2. I heard a rumor that Claude was adopted - so hope it's true! But I never did hear, and have been wondering, is what you say true? Does he speak French?
