9/18/09: UPDATE!! "Sad boy" is now named Elmo and he has successfully went through surgery and found a foster home! We'd like to thank all of the people who have helped Elmo. An extra special thanks goes out to Susan.
A kind soul found this boy on the side of the road and thankfully brought him to the vet for help.
He's at the vet with a broken leg and broken hips, and he's going to take a lot of work before he can find his forever home. While other animal shelters may have chosen to euthanize him rather than invest love and money into his care, Feline Rescue knows he deserves a chance. But his vet bill is going to be very large. If you can help, please visit www.felinerescue.org or click the "Donate" button just to the right of this post.
Even though he has found a foster home, we are always in need of people to help with injured, elderly and/or special needs cats. If you have a space in your home and are able to help, please contact Cathy at 651-230-3263.

I pray that St. Francis will administer a full recovery! Amen.
ReplyDeleteLove, hugs, recovery, energy, and the light of the Feline Nation to this dear kitty. Love and hugs to the dear person who rescued him/her.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are the foster parents for Elmo. We want to report that he is doing great. He is standing, walking and loves to play with everything in sight. We have to remind him that he is not totally healed yet, especially when he thinks that he can do everything.
ReplyDeleteHe is a very sweet kitty who loves to snuggle and has a very loud purr ! He has met our feline family and gets along with them well. We know that soon he will be able to find his forever home and when that happens, we will miss him dearly.
