Good News from a Sweet Kitty!

Rosemary was rescued by Feline Rescue volunteers last winter; she had been living in a storm sewer with her four kittens. When we first brought Rosemary home to foster, we couldn’t get near her. But we knew that she was just scared. We didn’t give up on befriending Rosemary and are so glad that she never gave up on us either! Once this sweet girl learned to trust people again, she was adopted into a loving home a few months ago. We were thrilled to receive good news and photos recently from her patient new family:

Rosemary is getting so much more friendly! This weekend she actually came up and sat on my lap for a little while-- I was amazed. And every morning, when one of us gets out of bed, she hops up into the empty spot for pets from the person still in bed. It's really sweet.

She and [the other resident cat] will probably never be the best of friends, but they don't fight, and their chasing is playful. They can happily coexist on a sofa or bed, which is good enough for me...

The other cute thing she does: she comes when we call her... She's the sweetest kitty.
