Sponsor Cuteness

The cutest kittens ever often come to us as orphans. Others are born in foster care to homeless moms. Every litter needs veterinary care, food, vaccinations, and more. Feline Rescue has plenty of love. However, kittens also need the stuff that money can buy.

Join us as a Friend of Kittens and sponsor a litter. As we say, "every litter bit helps!"

Friends of Flicka has offered to match, dollar for dollar, the first $2,000 in sponsorships! Choose your litter quickly - and become a Matched Sponsor. (Friends of Flicka is a Minnesota non-profit foundation dedicated to animals.)

For $100, become a Friend of Kittens and select a litter of cuties to sponsor and receive weekly photos for up to 8 weeks from their foster family and watch them grow toward cathood.

For $200, become a Special Friend of Kittens and select your furry team, receive weekly photos for up to  8 weeks and one visit at the foster family's convenience to ooh and awww and cuddle the little dears.

For $250, become a Special Friend of Homeless Moms and select, when posted, a pregnant mom in foster care. You'll receive 8 weeks of photos, including the newborns, one cuddle visit, and the chance to name the babies. (Mom cat would name them, but she'll be busy nursing.) Feline Rescue reserves the right to approve the names.

Everyone welcome. Once you've chosen a family and selected your Sponsorship level, click the "Donate" button on our Razoo page. Then, check the box "Dedicate My Donation To Someone", and write in the chosen family's name. We need to know to send you their pictures!

Team sponsorships: Can't quite do $100, $200, or $250? Get a friend to join you and each of you put in $50 to get one sponsorship - or 3 friends with each of you putting up $25. Team sponsorships must be purchased at the $100 minimum, but you may call yourself "Team Betty's Kids" or such, and provide all of your email addresses to receive the pictures.

All Friends of Kittens, Special Friends of Kittens, and Special Friends of Homeless Moms will be recognized on Feline Rescue's web page and/or in The Scoop unless you ask to remain anonymous.

Sponsorship does not include any preference for adoption of the sponsored kittens or other Feline Rescue cats. All sponsors seeking to adopt must follow the regular foster screening and approval processes.

Ashley, A True Companion

There are many deserving older cats looking for a second chance at having a happy home.  When you adopt an adult cat, you make room for more cats and kittens to come in off the streets.   Another benefit to adopting a mature cat over a kitten is that you know exactly what you are getting.

If you are looking for a lap cat and a follow-you-everywhere kind of friend, Ashley is your girl!  Ashley had a home for many years.  But when her person’s life changed direction, Ashley no longer fit into the plans.  So she returned to Feline Rescue, scared and confused.

Ashley is an affectionate cat who forms strong bonds with the people she trusts, so losing her person was difficult.  But it took Ashley just a week to bond with her foster caregiver.  She follows him everywhere.  Her favorite thing to do is to cuddle in his lap.  Now Ashley is ready to find a forever home.

Ashley has quite a few years under her belt.  But she’s very healthy and active.  If you have an empty lap and are looking for a true companion, please consider adopting Ashley.  This old girl deserves a loving home and lots of attention.

Nelson & Sister Chipmunk Alvie

Hi, Foster Mom--

I wanted to send you an update on Nelson. I hope you and all of your furry friends are well!

Today is June 1st and it is the birthday of your foster cat Nelson, aka “Chip”. Nelson is 5 years old today and he has a happy tale to tell you.

CHIP/NELSONThis past spring I started visiting a neighborhood pet food store called Calhoun Pet Supply. I noticed that they had a store cat who is a beautiful tabby. Since I have a special place in my heart for the tabbies I spent each visit getting to know this cat. I quickly found out that her name is Alvie and asked the usual questions of the store employee about her.

I asked where they got her and how they got the name Alvie since I remembered that one of Nelson’s siblings was named Alvie. All of Neslon’s siblings were named after Alvin and the Chipmunks and I found this to be very curious.

CHIP/NELSONWhen I adopted Nelson I was also asked if I wanted to adopt Alvie but because I already had 2 cats I declined. Nelson and Alvie were close as litter-mates. I always felt a bit sad knowing that I could not adopt her and she had to be left to be adopted by someone else.

What I found out about this little tabby is pretty amazing to me. Alvie was indeed adopted through Feline Rescue from her foster home which she shared with Nelson. She was adopted to a good home but due to some family changes ended up happily re-homed to Calhoun Pet Supply.

ALVIEAfter 5 years I have found Nelson’s sister Alvie and lucky for me no one ever changed her name. Now I have a permanent new friend and another part of my family I can visit anytime I wish. This is wonderful, Alvie has a good loving place to live and I visit her regularly to talk to her about her brother Nelson. She has so many of Nelson’s characteristics and she has been a joy to find and meet. Another wonderful Feline Rescue story!!

ALVIEI’m attaching a few photos of Nelson and Alvie for you to see. Thanks again for being such a wonderful foster mom to Nelson and Alvie. Thanks to Feline Rescue my life has been enhanced and touched by both of these magnificent kitties.

Ruby and Rocky Together Forever

Mother and son, Rumble and Ahri fka Ruby and Rocky, have found their forever home together. We are always so happy so see momma cat find a home with one of her kittens.

We absolutely love them! They are so adorable and full of energy. There is hardly a time where they are not cuddling or playing together. Rumble is a little trouble maker, and gets into everything (hence the name.. :)), but he makes up for it by being so cute and talkative! Ahri is very well-behaved and calm, and likes to cuddle. But when Rumble sees that she is cuddling he always wants to be where she is, so if you have one kitty, you have two!

Thank you for these two! We are so excited to be their forever home.

Another very happy Andy update from his family.

Just thought I would send you a quick update on Andy. He's doing great! We made our move and he LOVES it here. Lots of windows and there's always something exciting to watch--cars, people, rabbits, birds. It's kitty TV all the time!

He and I are definitely developing a best buddies relationship and boy, has his personality blossomed now that he's sure that he's king of the castle! His favorite toys by far are little fuzzy mice and while he's stopped "bowling" with his food dishes (whew!) he has recently started door surfing.

He was pretty scared of people other than me for awhile but is coming around to be petted by strangers now. Still not a lap cat which is fine--but he will nearly do somersaults to put his head in my hand if I'm not petting him. He sings for his supper (and breakfast) but is pretty quiet otherwise (except to scold me when I return home--whether from a day of work or from a quick run to take out the trash). A total sprawler (you were right!) he LOVES his half of the King-sized bed. LOL. It's pretty funny that a cat can take up that much room!

Anyway, thank you so much for helping me find him. He's the best thing that happened to me this year. And like the magnet I bought at the pet store said, "Who rescued who?" It's very true.

Kiwi's Sweet Gray Babies

Mama cat Kiwi was rescued from animal control along with her sweet babies Peach, Mango, Banana, and Papaya.
