Where's Momma?

These little mites were turned in to Feline Rescue last evening after their momma went missing several days ago. (We won't discuss the fact that momma was obviously not spayed.) It's quite a chore, feeding and pottying four infants this young - probably 2-3 weeks, we estimate.

If you happened upon this blog post because you were googling lost or found cat, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and you found a medium or long-haired mostly white cat, female and lactating, sometime near the end of July, 2008 we would love to hear from you.

These babies would love to find their Momma. And so would I!

UPDATE: To be more precise, Mom Cat was last seen in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis.

  1. Wow, they look so much like the Vannalikes. Thought this post was going to be about Vanna finding a home. Here's hoping momma is found.

  3. Oh so darling. Do you not have another mommy cat that could take them in?

Oh I wish I lived closer!!!!

    I'll send out an SOS.

  4. You can bet we ran through the list of available mommas. Either the other kittens were too old, or too young, or momma (feline and foster) was too inexperienced with too many other kittens. We certainly wouldn't want to jeopardize any other kittens.

Fortunately, this group is eating very well and responding to our novice attempts at pottying, so we've decided to continue the Human Mom approach while scouring the Twin Cities for lost momma cats.

  5. They look like baby Setzers, one of our Cat Street Boyz. If one was a boy and I lived in the area, I would definitely adopt it! Setzer was a street adult rescue so we did not see him as a kitten......back on track...did you notify a local TV station and local papers of this situation? More people can help if they are informed and they see the kittens in need of their mama! I sure hope she is found!=^Y^=Holly(the Boyz Mom)
