I am so sad to report that within twelve hours of the filming of this video, my little foster kitten, Skittles, became ill and despite three days of vet visits for fluids and medicine and syringe-feedings, she faded away and died last night.
Today she would have been eight weeks old. It is very possible that she had internal deformities (as well as her twisted legs and tail) that were taking a toll as she got older.
I take comfort that she had all the fun and love she did in her short life. Her mother Candy was with her every step of the way. I think she knew it was coming.

oh no - we are so sorry. nothing prepares you for losing these babies - you invest everything. we hope it helps to know she was loved and had a name and was safe until the end. purrs.....

ReplyDeleteOh, Denise, my heart goes out to you. I believe that Skittles is now enjoying Heaven, whole and happy. It's a blessing that we knew and loved her while she was here. God love you for all you gave her!
