Spotlighted Shelter Cat: Johnson

Meet Johnson, a handsome grey and white cat with sea green eyes. Johnson originally came to our shelter about six years ago, and it was discovered he was FIV positive. Even though FIV is not easily transmittable to other cats, we kept him seperate from our other cats, just incase. He became a favorite of our volunteers, and we were all happy when he finally was adopted a few months later. Unfortunately, last year one of his humans "developed allergies" and he was returned to our shelter. He's a wonderful cat; he's handsome, strong, and very healthy. FIV is not easily spread and most cats with FIV will live a long healthy life with proper nutrition and an indoor home. If you'd like to learn more about FIV please visit the Cornell Feline Vet Center.

Here's Johnson in full color, so you can admire his sea green eyes.

Johnson now shares a suite with Penny, another FIV postive cat. If you'd like to learn more about Johnson and/or Penny, please give us a call at 651.642.5900 extension 3, or stop by our shelter. Be sure to check out Johnson's petfinder page as well!
